Do I really need to tell you what's changed? If you don't know, then why are you reading the news post instead of the updated comic?

Still, isn't it a nice change? I don't know why more comics don't do it this way. If you have a monitor that's too small and you have to scroll sideways, please do burn me in effigy because I hate it when comics do that.

On the home front, I'm writing some other (real) comics that will probably never be finished because I don't know anybody who can draw but can't write to compliment the poor sap who can write but can't draw. Still, it keeps the juices flowing, so I may even do more DoE work in the meantime.

I may have mentioned that this comic is written by a Celestial Being of Indeterminate Origin, who chose me as a vector for the words. This has a few important implications, the most important of which is that She is a fickle creature who never wants to send me pages on time. It also means that this comic is and always will be Public Domain. That's right, you can claim to have written it with just as much authority as I can (none at all).

I took down the BCX link, I just don't feel comfortable with it.

Also, major change: Instead of one page every weekday, I'm going to release a full chapter all at once. That should help smooth out the pacing quite a bit.

If you pay attention to such things, there is now a vote link at the top of the page. I do not know what will come of this, it could bring good fortune or ill.

Voting will get you rewards. Sort of. Voting will give you about a page of text, written at least in part by me. That's all I'm going to promise. Consider it, if you will, a dumping ground for toxic residues that accumulate while writing DoE.

Despite my best efforts, I did not manage to get a chapter done before I left for China.

I'm back now, and comics will begin updating on Memorial Day (that's this Monday, for any furners out there)

Page Five, I must warn you, is the first page I've spent time fiddling with and revising, so if you say mean things about it, prepare to get stricken from my christmass card list.

Well, that's it. That's all I could keep up with. My interests have drifted over the past few days, and I just ran out of steam.

But this is only a very short break. I'm going on a long trip next month, and I hope to have pages before I leave. If not, though, I will surely have notes, and that is just as good.

So. DoE isn't dead, just sleeping. And everyone wakes up eventually.

The first two chapters should update every weekday for the month of February and into March. By then I hope to have more chapters. Eventually I will run out of chapters, and then the comic will come to a halt. At some point I may still write more chapters, in which case the comic will resume. If something like this happens, I will keep y'all posted.

The comic will begin updating on February 1st, and continue 5/week until I run out of steam.
